Used oil as fuel?

Helping you turn your used motor oil, gear oil, transmission oil and veggie oil into a clean fuel source.  That works great in diesel engines or heating furnaces!

Save from 10% to 75% on your fuel cost using Bluegrass fuel systems!  Read on to learn how!

I am pleased to offer you this information on how to save money on your fuel bills in a diesel engine or heating furnaces.  I have a unit and have been using waste oil blended with diesel in  my tractors for quite sometime and have not had any problems at all with this.  My friend Josh Hall at Bluegrass Fuel Systems was quite helpful in answering any questions I had about using waste oil.  After meeting Josh, and seeing injectors with over 75,000 miles on them and they looked better than some I had seen that had been run entirely on diesel.

Much more information can be found over at www.bluegrassfuel.net   Ask for Josh and tell him Scott Bradley sent you.  I like to help out my friends and consider Josh to be a good friend.  Wouldn't you if you had already cut your fuel bill almost 50% ?

Read down thru the information I have here, I can answer questions about the units also.  I do use one of the units and it is saving me money just like my Lil'House Heater!

We offer 3 simple and very effective systems that turn any type of used petroleum based oil or clean vegetable oil into a biofuel blend that burns great in diesel engines and home heating furnaces.  Each unit removes all acids, water, antifreeze, paraffin, and filters the the final fuel blend down to 1 micron.

All 3 units quickly pay for themselves and are inexpensive.  Easy to maintain, quick payback, make this something you should look at if your looking to cut your fuel costs.

No dangerous chemicals to mix, no washing, or titrating are involved.  Simply take the used oil blend it with diesel fuel to thin to the percent mixture you want to run, then run it into one of our systems and pump the final mixture into your tank. Then turn the key on start the rig and drive!

What engines can run biofuel?

Any year model heavy equipment, including tractors, agriculture tractors, etc.

ONLY 2006 and older passenger vehicles (2007 and up have different emission standards and are STRICTLY designed to run ULTRA LOW SULFUR DIESEL ONLY.  These newer vehicles DO NOT RUN WELL on biofuels in 2007 and newer passenger vehicles.

Stationary engines, (sawmills, generators, water pumps)

What mixtures of diesel fuel to oil can I use?

Engines made 2003-2006 can run 10 to 50% used oil!

Engines made 2002 and older can run 30 to 90% used oil!
The reason older engines are better motors hands down since they have less emission and computer controls.

Heavy equipment or stationary engines  of any year can run 30 to 90% blended fuel!

What engines run the best on biofuel of this type?

1) Inline diesels, these are usually found in most heavy equipment and large trucks.  Passenger vehicles with Cummins, VW, and Mercedes inlines are great!  These engines seem to gain the most mileage off of the new fuel blends.
2) Diesel engines running V-8's, the older FORD and CHEVY IDI's  run great on this blend.  The international 7.3 POWERSTROKE, 94-03 is king among the V-8's! DURAMAX runs great on it too!

The TF 5000

Description: Step up to commercial scale biofuel production with the TF5000. This unit is the highest output biofuel system available on the market in terms of size, and it is set up to be hands off and a major fuel producer. It is perfect in many capacities: it serves well for both the individual that desires to make fuel quickly, the do it and get it over with as quickly as possible person, and the TF5000 is excellent for large businesses: trucking fleets, large agricultural operations, etc.
This setup features a 3 tiered filter design and a huge FP-3 filtration media assembly, together they completely remove all harmful particles and ensure a flawless final fuel product. With the TF5000 you can be sure that you are getting a top of the line design that out-produces every other system available, both in terms of a cleaner fuel and output capacity. This unit also features a remote controlled pump for added convenience. Simply click the pump on and off from across the shop.
The TF5000 is made to either sit on a shop floor or it can be mounted on a cart or trailer like we have ours. A small 4 by 6 or 4 by 8 trailer works great and can be purchased very inexpensively. Ours cost $150 to give you an idea, and it works great for carrying the unit and when we need to pick oil up we simply take the TF5000 off the trailer, set it in the shop, and mount 2 oil pickup containers on the trailer. Also this is a good chance to mention that when empty this system is very easily moved around. The unit separates quickly with quick connect fittings and all exits have an on/off valve to keep fuel from going everywhere, remember we want to make our own fuel but we don’t want to make a mess. The unit has a nozzle flow rate equal to or more than what you see coming out of a gas station pump nozzle. We also use an automatic fuel nozzle for this unit so that when your container is fuel the nozzle cuts the flow of fuel off to prevent a mess.
The unit in the picture above is the actual unit that we use on a weekly basis, and we process anywhere from 800-1200 gallons through it every week.

Output: Up to 400 gallons per hour!

Power Supply: 120v (standard wall outlet)

Filter Overview: The TF5000 is different all the way around, within this system we utilize 3 external filters:

-The first is a stainless steel strainer that filters to 30 microns. The stainless element in this filter can be removed easily for cleaning.

-The second filter is a 10 micron water block filter. This filter needs to be replaced every 1,000 gallons.

-The third filter is an upgraded PFC5000 polypropylene filter cartridge, it is a 1 micron filter designed for the greater pressures and fuel volumes that the TF5000 experiences. It needs to be replaced every 1,000 gallons with a fresh cartridge. 10 extra PFC5000 filters are included with every TF5000 order, so you have 11,000 gallons to go through before you need to re-order.

-The fourth ,and most important, filter is a custom FP-3 filtration media assembly, which is designed to handle the input/output volumes that this large system sees on a daily basis.
